Englishmen find form around Augusta at the Masters

In a record breaking week at the Masters, it was hard to look past Jordan Spieth but up the top with the young American, 3 Englishmen finished in the top six.

The obvious one being Justin Rose who put in a valiant performance on all four days, challenging the leader Spieth at all times. Paul Casey had very good and steady tournament and Ian Poulter finished tied sixth with Casey, after a flawless 10-under par weekend.

It seems the Brits can’t mix with the big boys at the top

In a week that produced the 18th different winner through 21 tournaments this season on the PGA Tour,a British player is yet to win, not looking a promising season for Great Britain.

The PGA Tour took place through the Arnold Palmer Invitational, at Bay Hill Club & Lodge this week and it was another disappointing week for the British following.

Poulter sinks his round on the last day

In a weather-disrupted weekend at the Honda Classic Ian Poulter held a three-shot lead going in to his last round, but sinking his ball in to the water no less than five times during his final round cost him in his title challenge.

Alongside Poulter, 4 other Brits finished in the top seven. Paul Casey kicked on from his second place finish last week to finish tied for third this week with Poulter and Scotsman Russell Knox on five-under a shot behind the winner Padraig Harrington. Casey shared the overnight lead with his fellow country man going into the fifth day, shooting a front nine score of four-under before close of play Sunday. unfortunately he could not replicate that form on the Monday, with a back-nine score of plus-one.
